JOINT-SEALING AND FASTENING

The purpose of Joint sealing is to minimize infiltration of surface water and incompressible material into the joint system, or, just for the purpose of having a firm joint. This can be achieved with the use of welding or Adhesive Bonding – using Glues, Gums, Putty Sealants, Silicone Tapes, Thread-lock liquids, etc.

Other common joining and sealing methods include the use of mechanical fasteners such as Bolts & Nuts, Screws, Seals & Rings, Clips, Pins, Washers, Pegs, Rivets, etc.

Joint Sealers and Fasteners generally are used to hold joints very firm or to keep water and air out.
